Robert McIntyre5 StarI selected Old Air Products for an AC install in my 74 Chevy van, as they are the only company I could find where the unit is more of a cube than a rectangle. With limited space this was the only unit I could find that would fit. I was a little sceptical having not heard of them previously, but my experience couldn’t have been better. As there is no off the shelf package for Chevy vans, I needed some help from their support/tech people to select the correct items and configuration. As I have never installed an AC system before I probably needed more help than most people would. Each time I called I got to speak with a tech within a minute or two, and emails I sent were answered quickly.
I also made several phone calls during the actual installation with what we’re probably dumb questions, but even though the instructions are good generally, being a 1st time installer I did need some help.
Everything worked out great, and the system cools and heats very well. Even today, two or three years after I installed the system, I called them with a technical question, got through right away and got the answer I needed. Pretty rare to get that level of support nowadays.Friday 30th January 2026

randy jacobs5 Starhelpful and know what they are doing. bought my first hurricane late 80s. tried vintage air and tho they are a little fancier, the cases fell apart on both units. they crimp my hoses most times while i wait. it is evident they are car/truck guys. always been fair with me. thank you all'Wednesday 29th September 2021
Chris Reynolds5 StarHad the perfect Made in USA universal expansion valve for the aftermarket rear ac unit my older GM conversion van. It took me 3 different valves to find one that fit and actually worked. Do not waste your time with the parts store China junk or the parts store cataloging system. They just give you a blank stare when you ask for a #6 and #8 male threaded o-ring seal expansion valve. Call these guys instead. After replacing the malfunctioning and new parts store replacement with the one from Old Air, my AC blows ice cubes again. Thank You guys!Friday 1st September 2023
bella gardner5 StarThese guys are the best. Me and my boyfriend are going on a cross country road trip in an old c-10 with absolutely zero a/c, so he decided to install an old kit he had that he bought a long time ago. Not even 10 minutes after install the drier filter blew, and we were stuck in a predicament of trying to get the replacement part in time before we really had to hit the road. They were extremely understanding and helpful and very accommodating, thanks to them we’ll have a/c while driving in the desert so that’s all I can ask for🤣 thank you guys!!Thursday 26th September 2024
